Origami Trees as Ornament + Greeting card combo

This piece bends the traditional rules of origami.


Scissors are involved to create the slits that then fold to eventually give the tree its shape. It's
for intermediate to advanced learners. I made 50 incomplete pieces while vending at the Hester Street Fair a few weeks ago. The final will look close to the last image, just working out some aesthetic kinks (for example, I think I'll go with red card stock as opposed to natural...dunno. Still debating). This and a variety of stand-alone origami ornaments, will be introduced when In Stitches appears at Crafts In Chelsea.
